i (a female) was outraged yesterday evening to find that the man sitting next to me on a packed train from london victoria to streatham common was leafing through a pornagraphic magazine,for the entire jouney. would other men or indeed women, see this as normal behaviour ?

u should not have been so nosy then ( looking over someones shoulder ) is extremely rude

guess i must be a terrible old prude then!how dare i feel affronted at having to sit next to a stranger reading a porn mag on public transport ? how very quaintly old fashioned i must be. whatever happened to good manners, taste and decency..........

Quite abnormal behaviour. I mean, there's so much free porn on the internet, why would you go to the bother of buying a mag..?

Plenty of gadgets give portability if that is what is required.

I've seen that on a tube before, a few times as it happens.

Could be it was only the cover of a porno and a copy of Hello inside. I mean would you read Hello in public!

Of course, what might be a niche, special interest publication to one reader, may be porn to a distant viewer.

For example, I once observed a man, on the tube, restless and fidgeting in his seat while flicking through the pages of Railway Modeller magazine.

Once finished, he could barely contain himself when he pulled out a copy of Continental Modeller (far more racy, so I'm led to believe).

Maybe he was reading 'Door Ornament Monthly'

They are still around, probably in the same proportion as theyve always been, i.e. most people are good mannered and have taste and decency, but a few do not.
