Some twenty years ago I discovered a way to avoid the congestion of London, and suggested to the powers that be that this idea could be an alternative to the problems of congestion and the 'crush hour' as well as disruption caused by tube strikes ! Now as you face another Tube Strike the idea is as valid today as it was then - called simply Tube Walking it shows how to get from A-B without taking tubes or buses. I do not belive I am able to post a link to the site where you can get maps to show you how it works - but its easy to find in a search engine - I hope it helps those of you who are now facing more disruption.

You might like to know that Victoria Station took up the idea when they had to close the station due to renovations.
